Our first celebration

Our small in-class 28th of October celebration took place last Saturday. I hanged the children s artwork and I had pictures on a poster to illustrate what the kids talked about. All of them were very excited and couldn't wait to start. They all knew their lines very well and everything went just great. I am not sure how loud or soft they read their words because I was right next to them and could hear them just fine but whether the parents could hear them or not I am not sure of the answer. Makis read his lines from the computer, his mom video-recorded him and uploaded the videos on youtube and I downloaded them on my computer. Technology technology!! So he was present but not physically! Hopefully later I will be able to upload some video of the celebration here. Thank you parents for taking the time and helping the kids learn their lines so well!

Welcome to my documents!

Here I will be posting the lesson plan of each lesson, the homework related to the lesson and quizzes also related to the lesson. The quizzes are fun and they vary in style so it doesn't get boring. The homework is printable, so when your child is sick or absent one day, you can come here, click on the magic word and it will take you to what you are looking for. All this "correspondence" between sites and between personal and public spaces is very new to me so show some patience and everything will take its course. Enjoy!

Welcome! Καλώς ήρθατε!

Here it is! My class's own blog! I have been wanting to do it for a long time now. Parents liked the idea and I personally love the idea of my students checking their own site on the web! Here they will find their homework, they will play, they will be notified for anything that comes up, they will even be able to send their own comments. Of course all this is parallel to my teaching, this site does not in any way replace my personal interaction with my kids, what I teach them in class, what I ask them to do, what I expect them to accomplish. This site is, let's say, an online reminder of all the above. And let's not forget: Greek language is what this blog encourages. And you will get a lot of it!
Enjoy! Καλή αρχή!
